More Frequency Distributions Using SPSS

1. Open SPSS and open the "GSS2000depr" data file (download / help downloading). Run a frequency distribution for these four variables: "consci," "attend," "corrupt," and "expunpop." Print the results of your frequency distribution and write a short description of each variable, the values it can take on, and the number and percentage of respondents who fall into each category of the variable.

2. Go to SPSS and open the "COUNTRIESdepr" data file (download / help downloading). Find five variables that are operationalized at the nominal or ordinal level of measurement. Once you have identified these five variables, run a frequency distribution for each of them. Print the results of your frequency distribution and write a short description of each variable, the values it can take on, and the number and percentage of countries that fall into each category of the variable.
