Audio CD Sleeves

You've probably noticed this icon : in several of the sections on music in the text. These direct you to listen to the corresponding music tracks on our audio CD. Each compact disc features major recordings discussed in each chapter. Volume I includes beautiful selections of hymns from the Middle Ages, Gregorian chant, and fourteenth century madrigals. If you are a Volume 2 user, you can hear wonderful examples of important works from the classical greats (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven) as well as 20th century works such as Holiday's Strange Fruit and Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag.
