Downloading and Viewing PDF Files

This support page is to guide you through the process of viewing and downloading PDF files from our book sites using Adobe® Acrobat® Reader®.  If you have not yet downloaded and installed the reader, please go to the PDF Section of our Web Site Support Page to download and install the free reader on your system.  The Acrobat Reader runs on Windows 95 and later and Windows NT 4.0 and later, and on Apple System 7.1.2 or later.

Once you have Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® installed on your computer, you are ready to view and download PDF files as follows:

STEP I: Doubleclick the link of the PDF file you wish to view and download from our book site.

STEP II: The Acrobat Reader will automatically open the file in your browser window for you to view

STEP III: Save or print out the file.
  • To save the file, click on the floppy disc icon located on the left side of the Acrobat Reader tool bar, and save the file to your hard drive being sure to note the location of the folder you place it in. You can then view or print the file off-line at a later time by opening Acrobat Reader from your desktop.

  • To print the file click on the printer icon located next to the floopy disc icon mentioned above. You will be given the choice to print the entire file or only select the pages you want.

Please note that should you print the file, you will not be saving a copy of it on to your hard drive. Should you want easy access to the file at a later date it is recommended you also save the file.
