Questions for Reflection
Chapter 10: Technology for Students with Other Disabilities

The following questions are meant to stimulate your own thinking about important topics discussed in the text. If you are keeping a reflective journal, each of these questions might provide the focus for one or more entries.
  • What do you think of the argument that many disorders such as Asperger's syndrome and PDD are overdiagnosed? Do you think there has been an actual increase in the number of cases, or are doctors and other therapists simply more likely to label students with these diagnoses so that they can receive funding?
  • What would be the greatest challenge for you in incorporating a student who is deaf-blind into your classroom?
