With links and information about curriculum materials in math and science, as well as frequent news about education in general, the Eisenhower Clearinghouse offers a wealth of information that can support instruction.
International Reading Association
The IRA website has information about critical literacy and other approaches to the teaching of reading, as well as recommendations of wonderful trade books for use in your classroom.
MarcoPolo
This site represents a partnership between MCI WorldCom and a group of educational organizations (including the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the National Geographic Society) to provide standards-driven, Internet-based curriculum materials. The site is frequently updated, and you can sign up to maintain your own personal selection of materials that can then be accessed by your students from school or from home.

The NCSS website has lesson plans and materials for teaching about the social studies across age groups, including nice materials on "teachable moments."

A part of the Disability Resources network, this page has a detailed listing of email-based discussion groups on a range of topics related to special education.
E-mail Discussion Lists and Electronic Journals
This site, part of the EdWeb project maintained by Andy Carvin, has a large set of email-based discussion lists with instructions on how to join the groups. Some groups may no longer be active; others will fill up your "inbox" in a matter of hours. Be sure to save the instructions on how to remove yourself from the discussion group in case such problems occur.

This site is dedicated to connecting educators to technical support groups in just about every area of technology use.
