that supplements Exceptional Children and Youth 3/e by Nancy
Hunt and Kathleen Marshall. In The Story of Lucy and Nell,
Nancy Hunt recounts her own experiences during the birth, care, and
early development of her low-birthweight twins—born at 1 pound,
14 ounces, and 1 pound, 11 ounces. In this new online version, Hunt
gives us an update on how the twins have fared since the casebook
was originally written in 1994. It can be read on many levels: It
is an intensely personal and human account; yet it can also play a
strong role in teaching about individuals who are exceptional. Its
content relates directly to the main text's Chapter 2, "Risk Factors
and Early Intervention." Together, The Story of Lucy and Nell
and the main text provide a powerful learning experience for you. | | | The Special Education Resources web site includes extensive professional resources to help the special education professional stay informed on the latest issues in special education. |
Key topics in your text are brought to life with HM Video Cases. Each "case" is a 4- to 6-minute video presenting actual classroom scenarios that depict the complex problems and opportunities teachers face every day. The Video Case is surrounded by Bonus Videos, Classroom Artifacts, Viewing Questions, an Interview Transcript, and Key Terms. These rich cases allow you to experience true classroom dilemmas in their multiple dimensions. See the textbook for the username and password to this resource.
