Increase interactivity, engage your students, and promote critical thinking in your classroom.
Classroom Response (or Personal Response) Systems (CRS) offer you a dynamic way to facilitate interactive learning with your students. A CRS allows you to perform "on-the-spot" assessments, deliver quick quizzes, gauge your students' understanding of a particular question or concept, and take your class roster easily.
Use Houghton Mifflin's text-specific slides to pose multiple-choice questions to your students and challenge them to answer using their wireless "clickers." Responses display anonymously in a bar chart, pie chart, or other graphic and can be exported to a gradebook.
To save you time as you prepare for class, Houghton Mifflin has correlated test bank questions from Ebbing/Gammon, Essentials of General Chemistry
, 2/e to the specific section and page number in the textbook where the concept is discussed. These references appear alongside a brief explanation of the correct answer and are designed to encourage review of those concepts with which students may be experiencing difficulty.
To generate further interactivity, look in the Notes section of the CRS slides as each question is correlated to these media resources:
Relevant animations, videos, and simulations from the HM ClassPresent CD
Selected figures, photos, tables, and illustrations available on the HM ClassPrep CD
Concept Check Questions are also available on the HM ClassPrep CD
Word files of the test bank are available on the HM ClassPrep CD for additional reference.
