  2. Which dimensions of diversity seem to be present in these organizations?

  1. What is the organization culture of Intel? List at least three important values at the firm, in addition to diversity and multiculturalism.

  2. What are some of the advantages of Intel's organization culture? Are there any disadvantages? List any you can think of.

  3. What impact does the high level of multiculturalism and diversity at Intel have on the organization's culture? What actions could managers take to minimize any negative impacts?

Intel dominates the world market for microprocessors, far ahead of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Visit AMD's [http://www.amd.com/] Web site and learn about the firm. Can the differing performance of the two companies be explained by looking at issues related to culture and diversity? Why or why not? Is there anything that AMD can change in its organization culture that would make it more competitive with Intel? Explain.
